IMA Automation - Medical technology

The strict manufacturing standards for medtech instruments and products are a major challenge for machine builders, who need to avoid defects with potentially serious consequences. IMA Automation has already implemented numerous assembly automation projects in this field, developing systems specially for medical technology applications which are marketed under the registered trademark "meditec". The "meditec"linear transfer system was certified in 2009 by the Fraunhofer Institute for ISA Class 6 cleanroom applications.

There is broad scope of applications for automated assembly of medical and pharmaceutical products, ranging from blanking and siliconization to ultrasonic welding of dressings and gluing needles into place: an extremely wide variety of processes can be integrated into the basic systems.
