IMA Automation Amberg GmbH
1972 | Founding as engineering office (forerunner of IMA) |
1975 | Start of production operations at "Industrie Maschinenbau Amberg (IMA)" |
1990 | Employee headcount at IMA reaches 160 |
1994 | Further growing phase, including expansion of engineering departments |
1998 | Erection of new assembly and manufacturing buildings |
1999 | Expansion of office and manufacturing premises |
2000 | IMA joins the Feintool Group |
2002 | IMA acquires regular major customers in new markets |
2005 | IMA establishes significant inroads in the automobile industry supply sector as a key market |
2006 | Recipient of the 2007 "Supplier of the Year Award" from Conti Automotive Systems |
2007 | Expansion of product portfolio to include medical technology |
2008 | The companies organized up to this time within the Automation Systems business units of the Feintool Group begin operating in concert under the name of IMA Automation auf |
2009 | Certification of the IMA meditec® linear transfer assembly system to ISO Class 6 cleanroom standards as the first assembly system certified for medical technology cleanroom applications |
2012 | Introduction of the basic efficiency machine "IMA Green Energy" at AUTOMATICA |
